Pan Roasted Broccoli
Cut up the broccoli. Cut the florets into 1.5 inch long pieces. As for the stem, throw away the thickest parts and cut the rest of the stem into 1/4 inch pieces.
Part 1: Heat oil in large pan and add broccoli stems. Stir-fry two minutes. Add florets and cook two more minutes. Add water, salt, and pepper and cook 2 to 3 minutes.
Part 2: Melt the butter until browned. Remove from heat and add shallots, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir one minute. Add lemon juice and thyme. Pour over broccoli and stir.
