Channa Masala



Heat oil. Add onions and saute until golden brown. Remove from heat, stir in garlic, Tikka Masala spice mixture, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, and tomato. Return to heat and stir in broth or water.

Allow to simmer 20 minutes. When everything is mixed thoroughly, stir in chickpeas and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Do not overcook.

Can serve immediately, or better to let sit for a few hours before reheating it and serving over couscous or rice.
