Paris Day 1: May 14
Kay, Doug and I arranged my trip to Paris two monthes in advance. The timing was constrained because I needed to leave after my final exams, but also early enough to not interfere with summer internships. A few weeks later I received and accepted an offer from Plexus, and my starting date was largely left up to me. My last final was for Hybrid Embedded Systems, which was actually a final presentation detailing our final project: an Enigma Machine.
Two days after a successful presentation, on Saturday May 13, I left for Paris. Leaving my house at 6:30, I traveled from Denver International Airport to Chicago's O'Hare airport, and then on to Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport. The international flight took 8 hours. My window seat allowed me to view both the clouds over Greenland and the clouds over London, which were remarkably interesting. Since it seemed like the mid afternoon to me, I could not sleep but instead played logic puzzles and read my Paris guide book. I arrived on Sunday May 14 at 9:30am.
The travel time from my house to Paris was 15 hours.
